Amnesty International print

This print was created using a lino cutting and brusho ink over the top. This is a final design for an A6 postcard to be sent to Johan Teterissa in Indonesia as part of the human rights campaign for Amnesty international.

Print 3/10

"Film Noir casts"

3 leg casts moulded from mod rock. This is a proposal for a future art work based on the glamour of film noir. I chose legs because of the iconic seamed stockings worn of the 1930's - 50's era, and classic film stills which have been super imposed using photoshop onto a photograph taken of the leg casts.

Distortion of the human figure "Meat"

Oil on board, this painting was created using rags rather than brushes, taking inspiration from Frances Bacon's "The pope x" series. One from a selection of paintings focused on exploring distortion of the human figure in painting techniques. 50 x 60 cm

Distortion of the human figure "Hand 1"

oil on canvas 30 x 40 cm
Part of the Distortion of the human figure project, this image was created by repeatedly wrapping my own hand with elastic bands with needles pressed into the bands. this image was then edited on photoshop to create a high contrast black and white template in which to paint.

Distortion of the human figure "Hand 2"

Oil on canvas 30 x 40 cm
The second painting exploring how to distort the human figure, created by taking a portion of my thumb from a photograph, edited and painted onto canvas.

"Peace lily"

Oil on canvas 15.5 x 24 cm
Still life painting of a section of peace lily.

Disfigurement and Beauty "Tara Oil on canvas"

Oil on canvas 100 x 120 cm The first in a series of large scale oil paintings from my "Disfigurement and Beauty" project. I wanted to be able to portray the images from the photo-shoot onto canvas. I chose a high contrast black and white image in order to create depth and movement.
